What this site collects, and how cookies work here.
Last updated July 31, 2026. This page covers the Appalachian Music Collective website at appalachianmusiccollective.org.
Who runs this site
The Appalachian Music Collective (AMC) is a d.b.a. of the ETSU Research Corporation, operated in partnership with the ETSU Department of Appalachian Studies. Questions about this page or your information can go to marshals@etsu.edu.
Information we collect
The only place this site collects personal information is the partnership inquiry form on the Partner with AMC page. If you submit it, we receive your name, email, and whatever else you choose to fill in: organization or city, title, phone number, and your message. That form is processed by Netlify, our hosting provider, and delivered to AMC staff to follow up on your inquiry. We don't sell it, and we don't use it for anything beyond responding to you.
This site doesn't have user accounts, doesn't process payments, and doesn't collect personal information anywhere else.
Cookies
Nothing on this site sets a cookie, and no analytics tool runs, until you click "Accept" on the cookie banner. If you click "Decline," or close the banner without choosing, nothing changes: the site behaves exactly the same either way, just without usage tracking.
If you accept, AMC may use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage, things like which pages get visited and roughly where visitors are located. It does not identify you individually. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of any page.
Separately, this site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. That's a request to Google's servers for font files, which sends your IP address to Google as part of any web request, but it does not set a cookie and isn't affected by your cookie choice.
Who else sees data from this site
Netlify hosts this site and processes the partnership inquiry form. Google serves the fonts, and, only if you accept cookies, would run Analytics. Neither is used for advertising on this site.
Your choices
Change your cookie choice any time from the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer. To ask about, correct, or remove information you've submitted through the partnership inquiry form, email marshals@etsu.edu.
Changes to this page
If what this site collects or how it uses cookies changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
